Most people walk into my studio saying the same thing: “I’m not artistic.”

Two hours later they’re holding a painting they love and laughing with their friends.

That’s the magic of a creative night at Mountainside Arts, a private home art studio just outside Charlottesville where friends, families, and coworkers gather to create something beautiful together.

My studio is available to book for private paint parties and creative gatherings— a fun, relaxed way to celebrate birthdays, bachelorette parties, team events, and special occasions while making art.

No art experience required. Beginners are absolutely welcome, and everyone leaves with a painting they’re proud of.

I’ve been teaching art for 26 years, and helping people surprise themselves with what they can create is one of my favorite things.

Each event is completely customized for your group, and you may choose the painting or art project your guests create.

Private Studio Event Pricing

Your group gets the entire Mountainside Arts studio for a private creative experience.

Up to 8 artists — $400

9–14 artists — $500
*A single payment must be made for each event.
A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to reserve your date.

Because this is a cozy working art studio, the maximum capacity is 14 participants.
