Mountainside Arts exists because art can help people:

Here in this small studio in the woods, we gather to paint, connect, and remember that hope is something we create together.
Just 15 minutes south of Charlottesville, Mountainside Arts is a cozy home studio where art, creativity, and community come together.
Founded by veteran art educator Rachel Pompano McLaughlin, Mountainside Arts offers private art events and small weekly workshops for adults who want to create, connect, and spend meaningful time in a welcoming environment.
In a world that often feels loud and divided, this is a place to slow down, make art, and remember that creativity and kindness still matter.
Rachel is also excited to share her adventures in songwriting through 10000 Trees Music, featuring original art and nature songs for children, teens, and adults. An educational art and nature YouTube channel is currently in development.
